Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new school year, a fresh start with new opportunities for our families to get involved at Atholton Elementary. Involved parents lead to engaged students, and engaged students lead to better learning.

The PTA is a great way to be a part of your student’s school experience. There are many ways for families to join in the fun, lend a hand, or serve on a committee. Committees are a part of PTA, and are tasked with organizing and implementing many of the fun and exciting events that take place throughout the school year. Simply check off which committees you are interested in volunteering on your PTA Membership form and the committee chair will contact you.

The PTA supports our students and teachers in many ways. We provide incentives for our student positive behavior system, book fairs to help fund our media center, and introductions to new cultural experiences through our assemblies. PTA provides resources for parents through the lending library, and family focused fun with planned activities every other month. PTA supports our teachers with additional funds for each classroom and grade level use. This year, PTA hopes to raise enough funds to allow the school to purchase an additional cart of computers for our students to use. We show our appreciation for our teachers and staff in different ways throughout the year nurturing positive morale and ensuring they know just how grateful we are for the amazing job they do for our students. You can help support the PTA with your membership, your support with fundraising events and activities, volunteering to help on a committee, and by attending the PTA meetings.

PTA meetings are held at 7pm once a month on the second Tuesday of the month, with free child care provided. Please mark your calendar with the dates listed.

We look forward to another wonderful year at Atholton Elementary, and are excited to bring new and exciting activities to our AES Families!
